ABOUT ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION/one.Program AT THE SJCOE: The San Joaquin County Office of Education’s alternative education department is referred to as the one.Program, and includes court and community school programs and one.Charter. ABOUT THE ROLE: Under direct supervision of the Director, Alternative Programs. At single or multiple sites, using specialized techniques, provides instruction in identified social and academic areas which meet individual and group needs of students who have been unable to succeed in established elementary and high schools and/or continuation schools.
