Job Description

Employment Defense Attorney

We are partnered with a firm in Santa Barbara, Ca. that is seeking a highly motivated Employment Law Attorney with 3&-7 years of litigation experience to join their growing Labor & Employment practice. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in employment law, excellent writing skills, and experience handling cases from initial intake through resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers in employment-related claims, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage & hour matters

  • Conduct investigations, interviews, and fact development

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances

  • Provide day-to-day counsel on employment law compliance and risk management

  • Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation planning

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Active CA bar membership in good standing

  • 3&-7 years of employment litigation as a practicing attorney

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working in a team environment
