Job Description
As an Emergency Response Officer at Allied Universal, the Emergency Response Officer is responsible for maintaining a high visibility uniformed presence, responding to a variety of emergency situations. The Emergency Response Team operates as a mobile unit responsible for conducting regular vehicle patrols across predetermined sites. This team plays a critical role in maintaining the security of various locations by performing thorough checks and ensuring that each site is secure. In addition to these routine patrols, the Emergency Response Team is also tasked with responding promptly to any alarm calls they receive.
Furthermore, all incidents and responses must be meticulously documented, with detailed reports submitted to the appropriate supervisors. The Emergency Response Team must remain vigilant, adaptable, and ready to respond to alarms at any time, ensuring the ongoing protection and security of the sites they oversee.
Hourly Rate $41.00
Full Time 40 hrs.
Graveyard Shift
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Identify and respond to emergencies including in-progress acts of violence, crisis, weapons incidents, explosive incidents, natural disasters, and a wide range of issues posing a hazard to lives and/or property using the appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response by following established protocol.
  • Conduct surveillance operations
  • Assist in emergencies by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
  • Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries
  • Safeguard and maintain highly sensitive information
  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices, and weapons
  • Respond to direction and/or orders from supervisory personnel, especially in the context of an active shooter, assault, or other similar situation.
  • Move from location to location at appropriate speeds
  • Physically engage with a person who is threatening others
Applicant must possess one or more of the following:
  • Prior Service in any Military Occupational Specialty or related to law enforcement
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement,
    adult corrections, or firefighter field
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required
  • Must be over the age of 21
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid CA Driver's License
  • Must possess a current and valid Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Security
    Officer License issued by the State of California (Guard Card)
  • Must have a current and valid California state driver’s license
  • Must have succesfully completed the PC 832 Arrest training ( a valid certification will be required to present)
  • Must have valid Baton permit
  • Must have valid OC and Pepper Spray permit
