Job Summary
Under the supervision of Student Services, the direction of the site Principal, and with technical guidance from the Behavior Specialist, the Behavior Support Assistant (BSA) provides proactive and responsive support to address student behavior across the school campus. This position assists in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment by responding to student behaviors, supporting classroom staff, and implementing behavior strategies. The role serves all students and is not limited to those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Requirements / Qualifications
This position is eligible for part-time district-sponsored medical benefits with some out of pocket cost to the employee. This position is automatically enrolled into the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) upon hire.
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and experience working with children in an educational or related setting. Experience supporting students with behavioral challenges is desirable.
