Job Description

The Learning and Development Director provides strategic leadership for learning and talent development programs within the Image Guided Therapy Devices (IGTD) business.

Your role:

  • This role sets the learning and development vision and multi-year roadmap, partners with senior leaders to align capabilities to business strategy, and ensures scalable, measurable solutions across a global, matrixed organization.

  • The Director leads through influence to design and govern core programs (e.g., onboarding, leadership development, mentoring, early career pipelines, rotational programs, and learning grants), leverage relevant enterprise-wide content, drive adoption of modern learning modalities (including technology and AI-enabled solutions), and establish metrics to demonstrate business impact.

  • This role impacts the execution of our strategy as we develop our people aligned with our future plans by partnering with executive stakeholders and functional leaders across the globe, including sites in the US, Netherlands, Costa Rica.

  • You’ve acquired 10 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, HR, or related field, including leading large, cross-functional programs in a global, matrixed environment (medical device or health technology a plus)

  • Your skills include demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-year learning/talent portfolios across multiple functions and geographies; program/portfolio management certification a plus

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field; Deep knowledge of adult learning theory, learning experience design and evaluation models; ability to translate theory into practical, business-relevant solutions

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.

  • You’re an organized executor, excellent communicator, self-learner, experienced influencer

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Minnesota is $166,000 - $264,000

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $158,000 – $252,000

The pay range for this position in California is $177,000 - $282,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
