Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to achieve vehicle sales objectives, maximize customer satisfaction, and drive profitability. This role oversees daily sales operations, coaching and performance management, inventory planning, customer relationship management, and execution of Mercedes-Benz brand standards.

The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with luxury automotive sales experience, strong business acumen, and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Consultants.
  • Establish and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to exceed targets.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a premium customer experience aligned with Mercedes-Benz standards.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain high CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores.

Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to increase showroom traffic and sales conversion.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns and lead-generation activities.
  • Develop relationships with key customers and local business partners.

Inventory & Financial Management

  • Work with dealership leadership to optimize inventory levels and vehicle mix.
  • Monitor gross profit, sales expenses, and departmental KPIs.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of sales performance.

Compliance & Process Management

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain CRM data integrity and adherence to sales processes.
  • Support F&I processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of automotive sales experience.
  • 2 years of sales leadership or management experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of CRM systems and dealership management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Luxury automotive retail experience.
  • Previous Mercedes-Benz dealership experience.
  • Experience managing high-volume sales teams.
  • Certification in automotive sales or leadership programs.
