The Manual Machinst will be responsible for repairing of Caterpillar and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines.
Wages
Starting wage Manual Machinist will depend on experience and education. $36.69 - $45.88
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain a variety of manual machine tools
- Read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Set up machines
- Produce precision parts to specifications
- Troubleshoot machine problems
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Welding
- Line boring
- Threading and conventional lathes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience as a manual machinist
- Strong knowledge of machining principles and practices
- Experience with a variety of manual machine tools
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
