Position Summary Information
| Job Description Summary | The “summer” weight room student assistant will support the athletic department for up to 40 hours per week in the Anderson Athletic Complex Weight Room. Duties include assisting with facility upkeep, supporting Coaches with basic tasks, and performing clerical work as needed. This role requires current CPR and First Aid certification. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential. |

| Required Qualifications | Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn the support process. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite. CPR & First Aid Certification. Ability to pick up at least 25 lbs. |
| Desired Qualifications | A cell phone, laptop, and or PC will be necessary for daily responsibilities. Communication is key for both roles; if something comes up, it is expected that you reach out and update your supervisor. Reliable transportation. |

Duties and Responsibilities – Weight Room Assistant (Athletic Department): Assist with daily setup, organization, and cleanup of the weight room and strength training areas Monitor equipment usage and ensure student-athletes follow safety protocols and lifting techniques Wipe down, sanitize, and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and workout stations Record athlete attendance, workout data, or other performance metrics as directed Restock supplies such as towels, cleaning products, and sanitizing solutions Provide support during team workouts under the supervision of the strength and conditioning staff Report any damaged or malfunctioning equipment promptly Perform other duties as assigned by the strength and conditioning coach or athletics staff.
