The SRI Center for Health Sciences is looking for on-site summer paid Student Interns to work on various projects in the lab. The work will involve several NIH-funded projects, each involving human participants who will be screened for study eligibility and escorted between on-campus testing sites. Student Interns will also score and enter study data into the lab computer databases. If you’re looking to get experience in a lab conducting cutting-edge research, apply here. The Intern will work onsite in our Menlo Park, CA office
- Interact with research study participants including greeting, escorting, obtaining lunches.
- Perform telephone screens to determine eligibility of potential participants
- Score test results and enter data into laboratory databases
- Clean and correct problematic data
- Learn MRI safety and assist in acquisition of MRI data
- Learn to conduct various cognitive tests as needed and administer questionnaires
- Must be available to work during the 5-day work week between the hours of 9am and 5pm. Schedule is flexible, but the expectation is to work at least 2 8-hour days per week.
- Current Bachelors student studying Neuroscience, Psychology or a related field.
- Interest in human neuroscience, neuropsychology, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
- Energetic personality with deference to research leaders and respect for research protocol.
- Experience with research projects is an advantage.
- Quick learner who pays attention to detail and has good organization skills.
The salary range is: $18-$22/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
