Mission: Working with the VP, Legal & Business Affairs, the General Counsel, and other Legal and Licensing Department staff, you would be responsible for managing and executing all Entertainment and In-licensing contracts process, monitoring all forms of communication regarding this practice area, and keeping appropriate records therefor.



Key Result Areas Time Utilization


  1. Licensing: Collaborate with the VP, Legal & Business Affairs attorney supporting in licensing business team on all in licensing agreement negotiations from deal memo stage to agreement execution. Maintain and update a detailed tracker for status of all in licensing deal negotiations. (30%)


  1. Entertainment: Draft, review and manage signature process for all entertainment agreements. (20%)


  1. Marketing / Social Media: Draft review and oversee execution process for marketing agreements, social media vendor agreements, creator agreements and other related agreements. (10%)


  1. Support the General Counsel as needed, providing paralegal and administrative support including research, correspondence, document organization and corporate record-keeping. (30%)


  1. Other various transactional support as needed (10%)

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • 4-year college degree (preferred)
  • Paralegal Certification
  • 8 years experience as a successful paralegal with entertainment and/or licensing experience, either through an in-house or a law firm position
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing matters, and work in a fast-paced environment.


Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, flexible and multi-task oriented
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions
  • Professional communication skills, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Key Result Areas and Activities

  1. Licensing: Collaborate with the VP, Legal & Business Affairs attorney supporting in licensing business team on the review, drafting, negotiation and execution all MGA in licensing agreements, amendments, and renewals for MGA’s in licensing deals and artist collaborations. (20%)


  1. Licensing: Maintain and update a detailed tracker for status of all in licensing deal negotiations and contract extensions, renewals and expirations. Request and distribute customs letter and trademark authorization letters for each in licensing deal. (20%)


  1. Entertainment: Draft, review and oversee execution process for all entertainment agreements (e.g., content distribution, production service, talent, and rights agreements). (20%)


  1. Marketing / Social Media: Draft review and oversee execution process for marketing agreements, social media vendor agreements, creator agreements and other related agreements. (20%)


5. Generalist Duties: Accept various administrative tasks and show flexibility, as a key member of a lean and busy team serving a wide array of multi-national issues.
