Job Summary
Under the direction of a certificated special education teacher or specialist. Provides tutoring and support services to student in special education classroom setting. Monitor and report student progress regarding behavior and performance; perform instructional duties in support of the instructional program as required according to the established Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Instructional Aide Levels:
IA I: Combination equivalent to graduation from high school (salary range 6.0 - $17.95 - $21.87/hr)
IA II: Posses an AA degree or 60 semester units equivalent to those required for an AA degree or 5 years consecutive years of experience as an IA I with SBCOE earning a recommendation from the program administrator (salary range 6.5 - $18.35 - $22.44/hr)
IA III: 90 semester units or 5 consecutive years of experience as an IA II with SBCOE earning the recommendation of the program administrator (salary range 8.0 - $19.79 - $24.12/hr)
