0Job Description Summary:
The Patient Ambassador creates a positive first impression of Marin General Hospital and acts as initial point of contact for patients and visitors. The Patient Ambassador works proactively to ensure all visitors’ needs are met. Patient Ambassador is a patient advocate and coordinates any special needs with the appropriate resources.Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent required
EXPERIENCE
Experience in a Customer Service related position
Experience working in a hospital setting preferred
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
Basic Life Support Required within 90 days of hire
PREREQUISITE SKILLS
1. Must be proficient in the English language, with the ability to communicate effectively by phone
2. Ability to communicate in Spanish as a second language preferred
3. Instinctive personality skills displaying caring and compassion for all people
4. The ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritize demands
5. The ability to respond under stress with composure, and work collaboratively in a team environment
6. Ability to problem solve and work independently
7. Strong verbal skills for contact with patients and visitors
8. Capable of organizing multiple tasks and using good time management
9. Demonstrated professional telephone skills
10. Basic to intermediate computer knowledge with the ability to do data entry and retrieval
11. Responsible for maintaining a strong focus on assigned tasks and at all time being a strong team player.

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth’s compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
