Job Summary
This Accounting Analyst position in the District Business Services department is responsible for performing complex professional accounting and budgeting work to ensure the fiscal health of Local Educational Agencies (LEAs). The role involves conducting trend analysis on payroll, accounts payable, and fiscal risk while providing technical oversight and guidance under Assembly Bill (AB) 1200. This position will lead the development of various procedures, collaborate with the departmental team, and provide backup support. Additionally, the Analyst serves as a key technical resource for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by attending meetings, assisting with new functionality, participating in LEA visits, and troubleshooting to maintain high-functioning system operations.
Requirements / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
Any combination of experience and education that could provide four (4) or more years progressively responsible accounting experience, LEA business experience strongly desired.
