OVERVIEW: Parking lot attendants are responsible for operational activities that occur in a parking facility or lot, such as welcoming guests, directing traffic, and ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the parking area and equipment. The essential job functions are listed below but may include duties which are outside of these job functions which are required to meet the need of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and assist guest with directions and parking information.
- Welcome hotel guest and visitors, inquire about their experience, make conversation and report useful information to guest service team.
- Carry the radio at all times, answer calls promptly. Show sense of urgency when assisting at the guest.
- Communicate with hotel front desk when taking meal and rest breaks.
- Monitor front drive traffic, make sure no guest parked car unattended.
- Maintain a clear path on the front drive for shuttles and passing by vehicles to be able to drive through safely.
- Make sure automatic parking gates are in good working condition, filed with printing paper for tickets and receipts, connected to the network and clean.
- Access and address automatic gate malfunctions accordingly.
- Assist guest with automatic gate transactions when needed.
- Controls parking areas, report to hotel security unproperly parked cars or potentially overstayed cars.
- Monitors parking area for any criminal activity and report activity.
- Periodically patrol the parking lot to insure it is free of trash and debris; pick up.
- Represent hotel standards and work closely with hotel team to provide the best guest experience at all times.
- Communicate with hotel maintenance or housekeeping to empty property trash bins.
